Chris Rogan has been practicing law, throughout Northern Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia, for over 30 years. He represents businesses and individuals in all aspects of commercial transactions, litigation, employment matters and bankruptcy/insolvency law. Mr. Rogan works with individuals and businesses concerning entity selection, organization and operation, including corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships and other business forms. He has considerable experience in the resolution of individual, business, corporate and shareholder disputes, through litigation, alternative dispute resolution and out-of-court settlements. Mr. Rogan represents landlords and tenants in the negotiation of residential and commercial real property leases and the resolution of lease defaults and other disputes. He has extensive experience in the area of bankruptcy and insolvency law, having represented debtors, creditors, creditors' committees and trustees. Mr. Rogan’s practice includes the representation of creditors and debtors in complex chapter 11 reorganization and liquidation proceedings and assisting individuals and families in obtaining relief under chapter 7 of the Bankruptcy Code.
Mr. Rogan has had the unique opportunity of having served as vice president and in-house general counsel for a Northern Virginia telecommunications technology company. He assisted in business development efforts and was responsible for all aspects of the company's legal strategy and affairs. Mr. Rogan oversaw the negotiation and management of professional services, confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements, software development, licensing and sales agreements, alliance and joint venture agreements, employment and termination agreements, and was responsible for corporate formation and governance issues, investor relations, collections and debt restructuring.
Mr. Rogan has been named a Best Lawyer in America, in the area of Bankruptcy and Debtor/Creditor Law, every year since 2006, and enjoys an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale Hubble, its highest rating for legal ability and ethical standards. He has taught various continuing legal education programs and has written articles and other papers on various aspects of business and bankruptcy law.
Mr. Rogan received his Bachelor of Science, magna cum laude, from Barrington College, in 1984, and his Juris Doctorate, with distinction, from George Mason University, in 1989. He is a member of the bars of Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia.
Mr. Rogan began his career with the Tysons Corner, Virginia law firm of Wickwire Gavin, PC (now Akerman Senterfitt, PC), as a law clerk. He became an associate with the firm and later, a shareholder. In 2006, Mr. Rogan moved his practice to a Leesburg, Virginia firm in 2006 and launched his own firm in the Spring of 2009. Together with Peter Miller and Eric Zimmerman, Mr. Rogan founded Rogan Miller Zimmerman, PLLC in November 2013.
Mr. Rogan, his amazing wife and their five beautiful children make their home in Waterford, Virginia.

Eric V. Zimmerman began practicing law in 1975. In addition to his involvement with the local Bar Association, he has served for over two decades in the Real Property Section of the Virginia State Bar, a group of distinguished attorneys who provide input to the Virginia Supreme Court on issues affecting real estate law of the Commonwealth of Virginia and assisting attorneys within that particular field of practice.
In 1999 Mr. Zimmerman was honored with the “Tradition of Excellence Award” from the Virginia State Bar. This tribute is given annually to a single attorney who exemplifies an attitude of charitable effort contributed to his community. Likewise, he was named 1998 Loudoun County Citizen of the Year by the Loudoun Times Mirror newspaper. His dedication outside the office was further demonstrated by serving two terms as Mayor of his hometown of Purcellville and coaching his four children in youth sports.
While Mr. Zimmerman’s forte remains real estate and business matters, his practice has evolved into one of general counselor to his clients. He thrives on helping clients cope with their changing personal and business lives. His philosophy in the practice of law is distinguished by recognizing the intimate, personal nature of the profession. “The client’s needs and desires, which are not necessarily the same, are to be respected and balanced,” says Mr. Zimmerman. “My role is to provide high quality legal advice while being honest and forthright with my clients.”
The Town of Purcellville has been home to Mr. Zimmerman since 1983 where he lives with his wife Barbara and where they raised their four children.
