Christopher L. Rogan - Principal, Rogan Miller Zimmerman, PLLC

Chris Rogan has been practicing law, throughout Northern Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia, for almost 25 years. He represents businesses and individuals in all aspects of commercial transactions, litigation, employment matters and bankruptcy/insolvency law. Mr. Rogan works with individuals and businesses concerning entity selection, organization and operation of corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships and other business forms. He has considerable experience in the resolution of individual, business, corporate and shareholder disputes, through litigation, alternative dispute resolution and out-of-court settlements. Mr. Rogan represents landlords and tenants in the negotiation of residential and commercial real property leases and the resolution of lease defaults and other disputes. He has extensive experience in the area of bankruptcy and insolvency law, having represented debtors, creditors, creditors' committees and trustees. Mr. Rogan’s practice includes the representation of creditors and debtors in complex chapter 11 reorganization and liquidation proceedings and assisting individuals and families in obtaining relief under chapter 7 of the Bankruptcy Code.

Mr. Rogan has also had the unique opportunity of gaining business experience as a vice president and general counsel of a Northern Virginia telecommunications technology company. He assisted in business development efforts and was responsible for all aspects of the company's legal strategy and affairs. Mr. Rogan oversaw the negotiation and management of professional services, confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements, software development, licensing and sales agreements, alliance and joint venture agreements, employment and termination agreements, and was responsible for corporate formation and governance issues, investor relations, collections and debt restructuring.

Mr. Rogan has been named a Best Lawyer in America, in the area of Bankruptcy and Debtor/Creditor Law, every year since 2006, and enjoys an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale Hubble, its highest rating for legal ability and ethical standards. He regularly presents at continuing legal education programs and has written various articles and other papers on various aspects of business and bankruptcy law.

Mr. Rogan received his Bachelor of Science, magna cum laude, from Barrington College, in 1984, and his Juris Doctorate, with distinction, from George Mason University, in 1989. He is a member of the bars of Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia.

Mr. Rogan began his career with the Tysons Corner, Virginia law firm of Wickwire Gavin, PC (now Akerman Senterfitt, PC), as a law clerk. Upon completion of law school, he became an associate with the firm and later, a shareholder. In 2006, Mr. Rogan moved his practice to a Leesburg, Virginia firm in 2006 and launched his own firm in the Spring of 2009.

Together with Peter Miller and Eric Zimmerman, Mr. Rogan founded RoganMillerZimmerman, PLLLC in November 2013.

Mr. Rogan, his amazing wife and their five beautiful children make their home in Waterford, Virginia.
